Located in Kitchener, the heart of Ontario’s golden triangle, B&W has been providing superior heat treating services since 1945. We have two general production facilities operating around the clock in Kitchener and a brand new dedicated plant in Saginaw, Michigan.

Today, we provide production heat treating service for more than 250 North American companies in the automotive, heavy equipment, electrical appliance, agricultural, mining and defense industries and many others. Our company policy is to provide on-time heat treating services to our customers that meet or exceed contractual agreements and industry standards. B&W is dedicated to continuous improvement in quality, cost and technology.

B&W has earned QS-9000, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 registrations and has received more than 50 additional quality awards and certifications from our customers. Complete engineering and metallurgical support can be provided to our customers to assist in all facets of product and process design.


B&W is a leader in aluminum processing (batch and continuous) and can process high volume production components including engine blocks, cylinder heads, suspension members, steering components and others. Distortion is held to a minimum with multiple quenchant choices such as hot water and air blast.


B&W facilities are equipped with custom-designed equipment to provide the latest in aluminum processing technology along with integral quench, batch and continuous furnaces for carburizing, carbonitriding, balanced carbon potential hardening and ferritic nitro-carburizing. Additionally, B&W offers a full range of commercial capabilities with neutral salt bath processing lines for marquenching and austempering. Complete stress relieve, anneal, and temper services are also offered. Our combination of expertise, custom equipment and process innovation makes B&W your only source to fulfill your heat treating requirements.
